The 10k Summer Run is LCD’s biggest running event of the year and follows a breathtaking route right through the heart of historic London, with competitors starting from Piccadilly and winding their way past landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye before finishing at Whitehall!
Sunday 11 July 2010 saw us hold our annual 10k Summer Run, part of the tenth-anniversary running of the Asics British 10k London Run.
This was a big success and a great day out for all our runners. A cloudy morning sheltered our runners from the summer heat, but the sun came out just in time for the post-run picnic!
Congratulations to Elaine Graham, our top fundraiser so far who has raised over £2,000 for LCD - a truly brilliant effort! If you'd like to sponsor a runner, please contact our Events Team on 0207 691 1818.
Overall we are aiming to raise £6,000, so if you took part this year please collect in your sponsorship money and send it to LCD as soon as possible.
Well done to Dave Keir, who completed the race in under 42 minutes to win the award for our fastest runner of the year.

A well deserved picnic is provided in St James' Park after the 2009 10k Summer Run.
