Prague is a beautiful city with amazing architecture on both sides of the river and bustling with culture, a vibrant market and an exciting night life.
The Old Town
At the heart of the Old Town is one of the most magnificent squares in Europe and, of course, the famous medieval Charles Bridge. Take a stroll around this confusing web of narrow streets and you will discover a host of interesting cafés, bars, pubs and restaurants.
Take in the hustle and bustle of the winding alleyways or lose the crowds in the matrix of back streets and check out the interesting gothic architecture. In the evening discover a wide variety of entertainment from classical music, sword swallowing, fire breathing and puppet shows to hardcore clubbing.
Prague Castle
A castle has stood on this site since the ninth century but the majority of the current architecture is eighteenth century. Full of interesting architecture and art no visit to Prague is complete without a visit to it’s castle.
The Beer
You can't escape the fact that many people visit Prague due to the fame of its beer. Czech beer ranks among the best in the world and the country remains the true home of most of the lager drunk around the world today. Home of Pilsen and Budvar, the city is a beer drinker's paradise especially as it is so cheap! For an authentic experience head off the tourist trail to one of the traditional Czech pubs (pivnice) designed for drinking copious amounts of Czech beer!
Cafe Culture
Prague is famed for its bohemian, kafkaesque café culture and tea-houses, and you can spend all day relaxing alongside the banks of the river watching the world go by and enjoying the delicious cakes on offer.
