LCD England & Wales is part of the International LCD family working to ensure access to quality education for children in Africa. LCD England & Wales support LCD's programme work in Africa via a range of fundraising events and initiatives. Additionally, through our Link Schools Programme we work with schools and teachers to provide a greater understanding of development and of life in Africa.
"It gives me great pleasure to support the work that Link Community Development is undertaking in Africa. Their initiatives are giving hope to many of our rural communities. I thank you all for your generosity and continued support. Yours is an investment in Africa's future."

LCD launch annual 10k Summer Run
LCD has opened registration for our annual 10k Summer Run, part of the Asics British 10k London Run. This is our second biggest fundraising event and helped raise over £5,500 for LCD last year.
The 10k Summer Run is a great day out and one of the most scenic running events around, following a route from Piccadilly to Whitehall. We organise a picnic for after the race for all our runners so they can celebrate their efforts in style.
The registration fee is just £10 and there is a sponsorship target of £175. We are expecting our places to be filled very quickly, so please email events@lcd.org.uk to register your interest as soon as possible.

Reach Africa!
The Link Veterans cycling team, inspired by team leader Kate Clifford, have just completed their 1,100-mile journey to Tangiers in Morocco! Cyclist Louise Watson completed the final few miles to seal a great achievement for the team of thirteen. They were ably supported by the Kew Woods Primary School Cross-Country Club, who ran an amazing 64 miles in support of LCD.
