Do something active for Africa! Just 19 days before the start of the Olympics, this year’s British 10K will come with a buzz like never before!
Last year 25,000 people took part in the iconic run, which sees you weave through the streets of London, starting at Wellington Arch and continuing through the streets past a number of famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey – finishing up in Whitehall.
It’s the last public running event in London before the Olympics, so why not take this as a unique opportunity to hit the same tarmac on which the world’s greatest endurance runners will be running in August?

Get involved...

Last year...
Once again we enjoyed perfect weather for the big day - with a cloudy morning keeping temperatures kind for the runners and the sun coming out just in time for the well-deserved post-run picnic! Thanks to all our runners who helped us raise over £4,000 for Link.
"I run for Link because of the importance of the work they do and the great support I have had as a Global Teacher both before and after my spell in an Eastern Cape school. Last year I ripped a calf muscle four weeks before the run so I am keener than ever to experience it this time. The picnic at the end is always a great event and an opportunity to stay in contact with some lovely people."
Tony Thacker (has run for Link four years in a row!)
"This is the second time I’ve done the 10k for Link, so I must be a glutton for punishment! It’s a really good experience, not too arduous but still a healthy challenge! It’s great doing it with Link, they support us at the sidelines and treat us to an awesome picnic!"
Alex (twice a runner; left)
"Running through the streets of London was simply amazing! Streets that are usually full of cars were instead full of people running and
cheering – it was a great feeling!"
Chiara (finished in under an hour; right)
"Link's 10k run was the perfect inspiration for me to put my trainers to good use. While my training didn't turn out quite as planned, it's amazing what a little friendly competition and a good cause can do for your fitness!"
Tiff (Former runner and Hitcher)
Fastest runner: Dave Keir (42 mins)
