LCD supports the 'Vote Global' manifesto

Ahead of the forthcoming General Election, Link Community Development has joined a coalition of other NGO’s in supporting BOND’s* ‘Vote Global’ manifesto.

The manifesto calls for all of the UK’s political parties to commit to making international development a priority for the next UK government. It demands that UK does all it can to bring about a world in which poverty is eradicated, people’s basic needs are met and their rights are realised.
 Cover of Vote Global manifesto
At present, the world is falling a long way short of its pledges to meet the Millennium Development Goals. The Vote Global Manifesto asks whichever party forms the next UK government to refocus on improving its own policies on international development and to deliver on the promises Britain made to the poorest people in the world.

We hope our supporters will join us in using the election to persuade your local candidates and their parties that International Development is an issue that the UK public remain passionate about.

To find out more about how you can get involved, visit the Vote Global website at: www.voteglobal.org.uk where you can join in on the latest actions and help to make global poverty an election issue.
