LCD are launching this new team cycling event to recreate the arduous 1,100 journey from the UK to Tangiers in Morocco that inspired our very first sponsored Hitch back in 1992.This is a “virtual” challenge, which means you can take part without packing your passport or even having to leave your home town. Simply speak to your friends, put together a team and start planning how you’re going to complete the distance!
You can rack up the miles on an exercise bike in the gym, by cycling to work for a week, or by signing up with a local cycling club.
Whether you are able to cover 1 or 100 miles, you will be making a contribution to your team’s “journey” to Morocco and will be helping LCD raise plenty of money for our projects for sustainable quality education in sub-Saharan Africa.
If you’ve completed the Morocco Hitch previously, what better way to re-trace your steps than hopping on your bike for Reach Africa? Or perhaps you’ve been involved with LCD previously and would like to do something else to help?
