Reach Africa

As a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Link Community Development and the 18th Birthday of our record-breaking Morocco Hitch event, Link are challenging you to “reach” Africa from the comfort of your own home...well, almost!
Check on the progress of our teams already on the road or register your team now and begin cycling in support of Link!

Link are launching this new team cycling event to recreate the arduous 1,100 journey from the UK to Tangiers in Morocco that inspired our very first sponsored Hitch back in 1992.

This is a “virtual” challenge, which means you can take part without packing your passport or even having to leave your home town. Simply speak to your friends, put together a team and start planning how you’re going to complete the distance!

You can rack up the miles on an exercise bike in the gym, by cycling to work for a week, or by signing up with a local cycling club.

Whether you are able to cover 1 or 100 miles, you will be making a contribution to your team’s “journey” to Morocco and will be helping Link raise plenty of money for our projects for sustainable quality education in sub-Saharan Africa.

If you’ve completed the Morocco Hitch previously, what better way to re-trace your steps than hopping on your bike for Reach Africa? Or perhaps you’ve been involved with Link previously and would like to do something else to help? You might even be visiting our website for the first time and simply looking for a new way to support a very worthwhile cause...

So whatever your reason, please jump onto your saddle and help us Reach
Africa!
