New Programme Focus: HIV/AIDS

Third School Improvement Conference

Standard  tests in core subjects for 25,600 learners

Location: Wolaita Zone, Ethiopia

In April 2011 LCD supported our four target woreda education offices to conduct common learner tests in core subject areas. A bank of test items was prepared for Grade 4 English, Maths and Science, and for Grade 7 English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. 3rd Round of Teacher Training, Ethiopia

Teacher CPD Training, Ethiopia

LCD Ethiopia has recently facilitated the first teacher training workshops of the Woreda School Improvement Project.  Feedback from participants in the workshops was extremely positive with some teachers commenting that they felt the training was a turning point in their lives. Many said they had never acquired as much knowledge in their years at teacher training institutions.  Read the full article...
