"Working in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES), LCD works with District Managers and Circuit Supervisors to support teaching and learning in Schools.  LCD also promotes community participation and ownership in school life and effective planning and performance monitoring to reflect on the professional needs of the schools in its target districts.

"LCD is now well positioned to share valuable lessons with the GES head office, donors and other stakeholders to inform national policies on education.  We the Board strongly endorse LCD porgrammes in Ghana and are confident that all funds and resources channelled through LCD will have a real impact on the efforts of the GES.  More importantly, they will impact positively on the plight of Ghanaian children, particularly those who are currently marginalised and without access to the educational opportunities to which they are entitled."
