The 2012 Global Teachers Programme is now open for applications
What is the Global Teachers Programme?
The Global Teachers Programme is a 15-month development education programme for qualified primary and post-primary school teachers and principals centred around a five-week placement in a school in South Africa or Uganda. The programme helps teachers to become more competent development educators, and develops their leadership, management and training skills.
To be eligible you must:
- be a qualified primary or post-primary teacher or principal
- have a minimum of two years teaching experience in Ireland
- be currently working in a school in Ireland - full time or subbing
- be set to continue working in a school until June 2013
Some of these criteria may be flexible depending on the needs of our partners in South Africa and Uganda. Retired teachers are welcome to apply.
