Link England and Wales receive funding from a variety of sources. We have been successful in attracting government funding for many of our projects, our supporters include the UK, Scottish and Irish Governments as well as the EU. We also receive funding from trusts, foundations and corporations. We like to think that this is a vote of confidence in our work, and we are extremely grateful for their support.
However these funders do not fund the total cost of running a programme, and quite rightly, we are tightly restricted as to how we can spend their money. This means that further support from our own fundraising activities – for example the Hitch – as well as support from individuals in the form of sponsorship or other donations is vital to keep our work going, and in helping us make the funding we receive from government and other donors go further. It also helps us to continue to innovate and develop new solutions to the problems facing schools in Africa.
