On 19^th March 2010, LCD Malawi and the Mulanje District Education department held the first ever District Education Conference.  The aim of the conference was to share the findings of the School Performance Review conducted in 2009 in all 148 public primary schools in the district.  Learners, parents, traditional leaders, community members, teachers, government officials, and members of the business community were among those who attended.  Read more of this article....

DFID Permanent Secretary, Nemat Mincouhe Shafik, visits an LCD Malawi project school

LCD Malawi receives funding from UNICEF

LCD Malawi has received funding from UNICEF enabling an LCD and Ministry team comprising representatives from LCD Scotland and LCD Ghana as well as officers from the Basic Education Directorate at the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology (MoEST) to conduct a two-week evaluation in Malawi.
