LCD Malawi receives funding from UNICEF to conduct evaluation

An LCD and Ministry team comprising representatives from LCD Scotland and LCD Ghana as well as officers from the Basic Education Directorate at the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology (MoEST) will be conducting a two-week evaluation in Malawi from 1st to 14th November 2009.
The objective of the study is to recommend an appropriate common approach to School Improvement Planning including its interface with School Performance Review and Direct Support to Schools in Malawi.
The team will be interviewing a range of MoEST officials and Development Partners with most of the focus aimed at school and community levels to learn about what has worked well and where improvements can be made in terms of an approach to School Improvement Planning.
