Mapping the outcomes of the Curriculum for excellence

The activities you take part in as a Link School can help pupils to achieve many of the Experiences and Outcomes defined by Curriculum for Excellence. We have created a map of the Experiences and Outcomes that are directly relevant to the Link Schools experience in the curriculum areas of Religious and Moral Education, Social Studies, Health and Wellbeing, and Technology. The documents demonstrate how LCD supports Link Schools to achieve these aims and includes examples from real Link Schools to inspire you.

Setting up a partnership agreement:

Agreeing on a Partnership Agreement is the heart of a school link; it helps both partners to focus on realistic aims, establish mutually agreed educational goals and evaluate the effectiveness of the partnership.

Below is a 4 step guide to setting up a partnership agreement:

You can download a template form here.

  1.  Form a Linking Committee to discuss your partnership agreement. Hold a meeting to discuss the draft.
  2.  Contact your Link School either by phone, skype or via email through LCD.
  3.  Develop a detailed action plan for your linking activities.
  4.  Send LCD a copy of your partnership agreement.
