Link your school to Africa and provide your students an exciting global citizenship experience.
What is the Link Schools Program
The Link Schools Program is an innovative program that links U.S. and African schools (K-12) to foster cross-cultural learning, global citizenship and youth leadership. Link Community Development has over 20 years of experience in servicing school linking programs. Over 1,000 schools from Africa, Europe and U.S. participate in the program.
The program reflects the concept of Ubuntu, the African proverb that emphasizes building interconnectedness and unity among people. How it benefits your school
Your students will have the opportunity to learn about African culture, history, and arts by partnering and communicating with a school in Africa. Our staff in the U.S. and Africa will help build your relationship with your African partner school and ensure that your school linking experience is a great success. Your school will:
Receive a profile of your partner school that includes pictures and school facts
Communicate directly with the principal or teacher from your partner school
Exchange letters, photographs and art projects on each other's history and culture
Participate in exciting and engaging projects on global citizenship and Africa
Receive curricular and administrative support from our U.S. staff
How much it costs
The cost for your school to participate is $700 per school year. 80% of the fee goes directly to our work in Africa so we can we work more in-depth with your African partner school. 20% of the fee goes to our work in the U.S. so we can provide curricular and administrative support to your school.

"It opens people's minds - not just the children's but everyone in the school community. It makes you question things, question your beliefs, it breaks down stereotypes, broadens your horizons."
