Research Volunteer Jennifer blogs her way around Uganda

Masters student Jennifer Hessmiller is currently studying for her Msc in Africa and International Development and as she's been travelling through Uganda assisting Link with research, she's been writing a rather wonderful blog.

Click below to read her entries and make sure you check back as new ones are uploaded. We think they're a fantastic insight in to the ups and downs of education development in Uganda and are a really great read for any one interested in Link's work.

Student Volunteering Week – celebrating our brilliant volunteers

Fundraising Officer Louisa talks about our student volunteering story – from a student society to Link today.

Link owes a great deal to its student volunteers. Not only do hundreds of students take part in our annual Hitch event, raising £100,000s for our work in the process but Link itself grew from a student organisation in Cambridge many years ago. Without the enthusiasm and dedication of thousands of students over the last 25 years, Link would not be what it is today.

Bike Africa - experience Africa on two wheels. New rides and destinations!

Link’s bike ride events are back for 2014 and 2015 and are set to be better than ever, with exciting new routes and a brand new ride destination.

Link has successfully run five bike rides in Malawi and Uganda, with nearly 100 adventurous riders taking on the challenge of a lifetime by supporting Link’s work and visiting these beautiful countries to see our work in action.

Mourning Madiba

‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’

Nelson Mandela 1918 – 2013

Today we join the millions of others around the world mourning the death of Nelson Mandela - Madiba.

Madiba influenced many in his struggle for human dignity, equality and freedom. He brought people together regardless of faith, colour or status. Today, at Link, we come together again to celebrate his life.
